Al-Sharif is an experienced advocate, strategist, editor, and organizer. He works full time in the civil rights arena as Sr. Pennsylvania Campaign Manager for All Voting Is Local, a national voting rights organization launched from The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, where he manages statewide and hyper-local advocacy campaigns to expand ballot access, protect minority voters, and respond to election crises. Al-Sharif served around the country on Bernie Sanders' 2016 presidential campaign and was elected to represent his home district as a Delegate to the DNC for Senator Sanders in 2020.

His professional experiences span from conducting political analysis on the field in the Middle East to grassroots environmental organizing on college campuses and Congressional advocacy. He has also worked with international organizations such as the UN OHCHR, American Muslim organizations such as CAIR, as well as in movement spaces and neighborhood organizing collectives. After work you might find Al-Sharif joining a drum circle, swimming laps, pondering life's mysteries in nature, or diving into classical Islamic literature.
