Kumail is an experienced consultant in the public sector and philanthropic sectors. He is informed by his community experiences and education, where he holds an MA in International Relations from American University and a BA in Government from The University of Texas at Austin.

Kumail has founded multiple humanitarian organizations and his advocacy work includes community engagement with elected officials, supporting and serving on non-profit boards geared towards fair housing, climate justice, and empowering the refugee and immigrant communities. During the 2020 presidential campaign of Bernie Sanders, Kumail worked with the National Political Outreach Coordinator and Texas Director serving as a leader in helping mobilize the Muslim community across the state.
