Reema has several years of experience in the non-profit sector as a volunteer, advocate, and public interest attorney. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in History and Economics from UT Austin and a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law, where she graduated as one of seven awardees for the Public Interest Law Graduating Student Award from the William Wayne Justice Center. After law school, Reema worked at a non-profit called the Equal Justice Center in Dallas, TX supported by an Equal Justice Works Fellowship. She led a holistic and intersectional model of immigration direct legal services and employment litigation for immigrant working families and workers experiencing wage and hour violations, trafficking, and employment discrimination.
Although her passion lies in working with immigrants, she also has experience in civil rights, disability law, and mental health advocacy. In her free time, Reema enjoys being outdoors, hiking, and collecting more books than she’ll actually ever read. Visiting all the U.S. National Parks is on her bucket list.
